Past Projects
![]() Cigar Box GuitarThis was made from an old packing box, some mahogony and some flooring pine that I spent AGES cutting in half so it would be thin enough for the soundboard. I was really pleased with it - especially the neck.) | ![]() Cigar Box Guitar |

![]() Cigar Box Guitar Headstock | ![]() Cat HouseI made this for my mother and father in law a couple of years ago. Actually it was for their cat to shelter in when she was left outside after a house move. Astro turf on the top, and a roof that can be propped up horizontally if it gets hot. |
![]() Guitar BodyThis was my second project with recycled timber. I cut pallets into strips and then glued them together using ratcheting luggage straps. | ![]() Guitar Body |
![]() Shaker Style Linen BoxVery similar to my other chests but smaller. | ![]() Shaker Style Toybox/ChestThe panels in this box were bits of tongue and groove that a friend had removed from his house. |
![]() Dog House Coffee TableThis was based on a toy chest it was making a lot of a few years back. A lady asked me if I could make a chest with access for her two dachsunds that she could also use as a coffee table. She sent me a photo of the dogs in it and they looked so sweet! | ![]() Coffee TableMade from a pallet top (the rest of it wasn't good enough to use) and other bits of pallet wood. With several coats of acrylic varnish. |
![]() Pallet Coffee TableThis was a pallet that was surprisingly usuable. Sanded and varnished with castors. two of them had brakes, just in case the table went to a house on a hill..... | ![]() Rocking Hammock DeckchairsMy bestsellers! A friend asked me if I could repair two of his deckchairs and I copied the designs. Sometimes I can make them out of oak if I have any, or garden decking (sturdy) or just pine. Sometimes I make small ones as well for small people, as you can see. They are very comfortable and the fabric we use is recycled too (thanks to my wife) |
![]() Double Deckchair | ![]() Stained chest - not a coffin |
![]() Oak Table | ![]() Oak Tabletop |
![]() Toy/Storage ChestOne of the first things I made: I had loads of wood but couldn't think of what to do with it. | ![]() 'Christmas Tree'If the arms of this are arranged differently, it does turn into a Christmas Tree. Honest. It does look good when all the tealights are lit though |
![]() 'Christmas Tree' | ![]() Guitar Shaped Coffee TableOK so I had a thing about guitars at the time. |
![]() Guitar Coffee Table detailThe wood here was stained and then sanded. then varnished with about four coats of polyeurathane varnish. |
